Beautiful work! I could not be more pleased. The artist rendered an excellent image from a very old and imperfect photograph. Another site told me that it was not possible to reproduce the photograph as a painting. My husband cried when he saw the painting of his grandfather. I cannot thank you enough!

This is an old photo of my husband's grandfather that he keeps in his wallet. I noticed some language that said that turning a photo into an oil painting is good for "restoring photos," and this is what I hope to do. This is my husband's only photo of his grandfather, and I would like to give him the gift of having it reproduced as a portrait--I think that oil is probably the best medium based upon what I have read here. I am open to suggestions about the background--the crowd in the background certainly isn't necessary.
